It is important for students to not let their math skills wander out of their long term memory. In the fall the Junior High Math teachers will not review basic skills to a great degree. Therefore, teachers have created a summer math packet for students that will enable them to practice the skills that they will need next school year. Students will probably need to refer to their notes or workbook to recall the information for some of the material. This is a mandatory assignment.
Completed packet is due Friday August 27, 2010.
There will be a late penalty for packets not turned in on time.
You may use a calculator. (Make sure your answer makes sense.)
You must show your work. There will be a penalty for not showing your work.
This packet is worth 550 points.
Make sure answers are in simplest form.
Write your answers on the answer sheet where indicated.
All 7th & 8th grade students are required to complete 20 hours of service for their community, church, school or other approved organizations each year. Attached is the form that needs to be completed and turned in when directed.
Students who will be entering 7th or 8th grade may wish to begin these hours over the summer. Students will only be allowed to use a certain number of summer hours to complete this requirement.
