No Woodland Buses to or from school Thursday, 9/9
There will be no busing available to people that normally ride Woodland buses to or from school on Thursday, September 9th. Parents will need to carpool or bring and pick their students up from school. Click here for the dismissal procedure.
Parent Night
Wednesday, September 15th is Parent Night for Grades 1 through 4. There will be a reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi Purpose Room for anyone who would like to stop by. Classrooms will be open at 7:00 p.m. for you to drop in and meet with the teacher. Specials classroom teachers will also be available to meet and speak with, so don't forget to visit them also.
Magazine Sale
Family School Association sponsors a Magazine Sale every year and the profits benefit St. Gilbert School directly. Packets went home on Wednesday with the details. The first turn in day is Wednesday, September 8th. Any orders turned in will double the points earned on this day only. Please help our school by participating in this fundraiser. St. Gilbert School students and staff are collecting loose change and dollar bills to be used to purchase food for our St. Gilbert Parish Food Pantry and Catholic Charities.
Please help us as we do our part to help change the hunger problem by saving your change and sending it in to your students "Change for Change" donation container during the month of September.
Family School's Dinner Night at Dog n' Suds
Join Family School Association on Thursday, September 16th for Dinner at the Grayslake Dog n' Suds. Dog n' Suds will make a donation to St. Gilbert School for every order place that evening.
Grandparent's Club
We invite any new or existing families to encourage their grandparents to join the
St. Gilbert School Grandparent's Club. Membership benefits include: monthly school newsletters, invitations to special events at school, and much more. Click here to download the form and send it back to school.
Preschool
We are excited to announce that St. Gilbert School will open a Preschool for the
2010-2011 school year. Please see the flyer and application for more details. If you have already registered at a different preschool for next year, your child’s registration fee for preschool will be waived with proof of that registration. We are excited about this new endeavor and thank your for considering our new preschool.

Applications for the 2010 - 2011 School Year
Please fill out the application and submit it with a copy of the prospective student’s birth certificate, baptismal certificate, and social security number. A non-refundable application fee of $150 per new family, ($50 for families currently enrolled at St. Gilbert School,) is also to be included with the application forms.
