Tuition & Assistance
Saint Gilbert Catholic School offers an outstanding education for an excellent value and is competitive compared to other Catholic and private schools in our area. Setting fair and reasonable tuition rates is one of our highest strategic priorities and is central to our mission as part of the Catholic Church. Our goals are to meet our financial obligations as a parish and school while continuing to provide access to an excellent Catholic education. This is only possible with continued timely payments and a commitment from our families to support the various fundraising initiatives and school programs that enrich each child’s school experience. Below are the tuition rates for the 2021-2022 school year.

Saint Gilbert Catholic School has partnered with FACTS Management to manage tuition payments and financial assistance assessments. All school families are required to enroll in the FACTS Tuition Payment and Financial Assistance Portal. Tuition payments must be paid through FACTS Tuition and will not be accepted by the school office. Financial information, such as checking account or credit card information, is entered into the FACTS Portal by school families. Please note, payments made through a credit card are assessed an additional charge for processing. Administrative fees for this service are paid by school families.
There are a number of payment options to make tuition payments. The tuition payment plans available are as follows:
Full Payment (One Payment): The entire Tuition amount is due on or before June 15th. Families must notify the administration by May 15th when selecting this payment option. If families choose to pay tuition in full by June 1st there is a savings of $200.
Monthly Payments (12 payments): Monthly payments are due on or before the 1st or the 15th of the month beginning in July and ending in June. All automatic payments must be set up two weeks before the actual due date.
10 installment payments begin in August and run through and include May.

Family Service Hours:
Saint Gilbert Catholic School is a family oriented school. There are many programs in the school that could not exist without the generosity of parents and members of the community. There are no mandatory service hours required of our parents except for playground supervision duty, approximately four times per year.
Discounts are available for Saint Gilbert Faculty & Staff, Carmel Catholic High School Staff, Active Military, and First Responders. These discounts are contingent upon proof of current and continued employment.
We also offer a pay in full discount of $200 if your 2021-2022 tuition is paid in full by June 1, 2021.
If a current family refers a family and they stay for ONE FULL SCHOOL YEAR, the referring family will receive a $350 referral fee in the form of a tuition credit applied to the following year.
Tuition Assistance and Tax Credit Scholarships:
Any family that requests financial assistance must FIRST APPLY FOR A TAX CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP THROUGH EMPOWER ILLINOIS to be considered for financial assistance at the parish level if funds are not granted through Empower Illinois.
To apply please visit: Empower Illinois
For families that are not granted financial assistance through a tax credit scholarship such as Empower Illinois, financial assistance may be available for qualifying families through the parish. Parents or guardians MUST complete an application through FACTS to be considered for financial assistance. Applications are available by logging on to FACTS.
To apply please visit: Facts Management Portal
Please watch for details on when to apply for the Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship. If denied for the Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship (Empower Illinois), applications for financial assistance via the parish must be submitted into FACTS by May 15, 2021.
Financial assistance must be applied for annually, and must follow the sequence of Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship assistance as the primary source, with the secondary source only applicable if the family is denied by Empower Illinois, and it is determined by a FACTS application that the family demonstrates need for assistance.
Saint Gilbert Parish cannot provide greater than 20% of financial assistance to any single family.
Tuition Collection Policy:
The ability to operate Saint Gilbert School is based upon its ability to meet financial obligations that are dependent on the collection of school tuition and participation of families in fundraising activities (suggested amount for fundraising is $100 per child throughout the school year). A family whose tuition account becomes delinquent is subject to the consequences outlined in the School Handbook and will result in the possible forfeiture of parish granted financial assistance.
Illinois Tax Credit Scholarships:
In August 2017, the State of Illinois passed a bill that creates a new way to fund scholarships for children who choose to attend private schools through the “Invest in Kids Act.” Please visit the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools website for current information regarding how the educational funding bill may benefit current and prospective Saint Gilbert Catholic School families: Tax Credit Scholarship Information
