Why Choose Saint Gilbert Catholic School?
Saint Gilbert Catholic School is a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence recipient. Our students consistently perform above national and archdiocesan averages on the ACT Aspire achievement tests administered in grades 3 through 8. We offer a challenging curriculum focusing on the development of academic critical thinking skills instilled with discipline and Christian values for students in preschool through eighth grade. Through the use of daily prayer and faith-centered teachings, curriculum is kept current and adheres to national, state, and Archdiocesan standards. UPCOMING EVENTS
INVEST IN KIDS ACT
In August 2017, the State of Illinois passed a bill that creates a new way to fund scholarships for children who choose to attend private schools through the “Invest in Kids Act.” Through this program, students have access to scholarships that could cover up to 100 percent of tuition and eligible fees. Please visit the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools website for current information regarding how the educational funding bill may benefit current and prospective Saint Gilbert Catholic School families: Tax Credit Scholarship Information
Individuals and corporations will receive a 75 percent Illinois state tax credit for donations made to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO), created to distribute the scholarships. The Archdiocese of Chicago is working with the SGOs: Empower Illinois and Big Shoulders Fund. Join us in providing a quality Catholic education to more students. Visit Tax Credit Scholarship Information for more information, or contact the Tax Credit Scholarship Office at the archdiocese at tcs@archchicago.org or (312) 534-2617.
